Enjoy a little wine tasting?  The Apple Hill area surrounding Camino has some outstanding wineries rivaling the best of Napa/Sonoma/Mendocino.  El Dorado County wineries are noted primarily for their excellent zinfandels, but in recent years experimentation with numerous varietals has revealed that the exceptional microclimates are incredibly well suited to barbera, syrah, malbec, merlot, cabernet, grenache, alicante bourschet, carignane, pinotage, charbonno, viognier, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and even pinot noir!  Within a five mile radius of the Forester Pub & Grill there are ten world class wineries, so plan on winetasting during the day and coming to the Forester for dinner to cap an extremely enjoyable day.  Chances are the Forester will be pouring the wines you sampled at the wineries.
